Shielded rods are available in 304 & 316 stainless steel and zinc plated carbon steel. The all thread rods have a tight fit FDA grade LDPE plastic sleeves covering their threads. The standard length 6 foot rods can quickly be cut to length with a hack saw. A utility knife efficiently removes the plastic shield, exposing the required number of threads for connection. Shielded rods can support hangers, lighting and many process and mechanical area items.
